Who I am

I'm Mikołaj Burdzy, a data engineer and software developer based in Wrocław, Poland. I build backend infrastructure, design data pipelines, and develop high-performance web applications.

What I do now

I work as a Data Engineer at Detable, contracted to CIRF — Centrum Informatyki Resortu Finansów, the IT centre of Poland's Ministry of Finance — where I design and build ETL pipelines and data models for large-scale public sector systems.

On the side, I run lvl3, a boutique web studio focused on speed and accessibility.

What I build

I created eWarsztat, a management SaaS for Polish car workshops that handles bookings and inventory.

I also run a homelab built around TrueNAS storage, Proxmox virtualization, 10GbE networking, and a ZTNET (ZeroTier) mesh VPN for remote access to my infrastructure.

Background

I hold Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Business Informatics from the Wrocław University of Economics and Business.

Before my current role, I was a PIM/DAM Application Engineer at PPG Industries, where I owned the Informatica Product 360 ecosystem and led the master data work in practice. My stack spans TypeScript, Astro, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Linux system administration.

How I work

I prioritize raw performance, static typing, and physical deployments over abstract cloud complexity. Every system I build is designed for maximum durability and minimal maintenance.
